Activities
Game Drives
Enjoy a relaxing game drive in one of Mokolodi's open safari vehicles. Qualified professional guides will point out the flora and fauna of the reserve and answer all your questions.

Night Drives
Take a 2-hour drive in an open Safari vehicle through Mokolodi's bush. Mokolodi at night is a magical world. Far away from domestic and industrial light pollution, the night sky can be seen in all its glory. Your professional guide will make frequent stops allowing you to see the nocturnal wildlife by spotlight. (Even in winter only a warm jumper will be needed.)

Cheetah Visit
For an unforgettable experience spend some time with Mokolodi's two cheetahs Duma and Letotse. Stroke them, hear them purr or, if you're feeling really brave, let them lick your hand. This is a rare opportunity and could be the highlight of your visit to Mokolodi.
For ages 16 and above only.

Rhino Tracking
An unforgettable adventure for 2-6 adults.
Set off on foot through the bush with an experienced ranger and see how close you can get to encounter an ancient and mysterious creature, the magnificent white rhino.
After a 3-hour expedition you are treated to refreshments at one of the spectacular picnic sites.
For ages 16 and above only.

Giraffe Tracking
Track the giraffe with our experienced rangers and walk amongst them. The activity is followed by a picnic and a cheetah visit. (An alternative to the picnic, by prior arrangement, is an English breakfast.)

Horseback Safari
Trekking at dawn or dusk through the bush on horse back is one of the most exhilarating ways of viewing the wildlife of Mokolodi. Our Basotho mountain ponies are especially bred for the bush and provide one of the best ways of viewing wildlife.
Includes cheetah viewing and picnic.
For ages 10 and above only.

Guided Walks
Take a walk through the bush with one of our trained field guides to see far more than you can from a vehicle.

Bush Braais (barbecues)
An experience not to be missed is a two-hour game drive in a safari vehicle followed by sundowners at the dam and then a sumptuous braai at a secret site in the bush. The meal consists of an open bar with a fine selection of cold drinks, beers and wines and a variety of meat is available hot off the braai, supplemented by salads and a traditional Batswana dish. Dessert and coffee complete the meal and the evening is rounded off by a slow night drive back to the front gate. The Ditshwene Traditional Dancers are available if requested (weekends only).
