Environmental Education is at the core of the nature reserve's daily life. Some 10,000 youngsters from schools and orphanages across Botswana visit Mokolodi's Education Centre each year, to take part in activities and to experience some of Africa's natural wonders increasingly lost to the modern world. Mokolodi's education projects are dependent upon grant funding, subsidy from its commercial game viewing and bush experience activities, as well as support from the community, local commercial partners, donors and well-wishers.

Tusk UK is one of a number of important donors which play a critical role in supporting the education programme. The annual 'Boitumelo Mo Negang' (joy in the bush) camps for HIV/AIDS orphans and street children are amongst the essential charitable services that the nature reserve provides to the community and indeed, the nation, every year. The Education Centre always welcomes additional support, to enable it to secure its programmes into the future. Mokolodi Nature Reserve would like to further enhance the 'bush experience' for children, especially for those who face serious personal challenges in their young lives. Those youngsters are as dependent upon us for presenting all the sparkle and light in life that our special environment has to offer, as we are upon you, for your interest, patronage and support.
