The Ditshwene Traditional Dance group is a self-formed group of youngsters whose mission is to promote environmental conservation through provision of education, information and communication using cultural art forms such as dance, music and theatre as tools. This group is a registered charitable community organization responsible for developing the artistic talents of the people of the South Eastern part of Botswana. The society operates from the village of Mokolodi.

The Ditshwene Dance group has achieved quite a number of professional achievements, one of which was the theatrical dance appearance they made for the Microsoft Chairman, Mr. Bill Gates, the former mayor of Atlanta, Georgia Mr. Andrew Young, Princess Benedikte of Denmark, Princess Alexandra of Kent, and Princess Anne of Great Britain, and one of the princes of Saudi Arabia and his entourage. They have also produced a musical and theatrical DVD, which has gained some popular airing at Botswana's national TV, Btv under the Sedibeng vehicle. The troupe members also present industrial performances whenever requested by the government department and any institution.

Ditshwene has produced performers and students who are nationally and internationally recognized for their performances and compositions. Some of the past successful members include Jackson “Dibautu" Kedimotse of Mokorwana, Kenalemang "Bisto" Kgabaki and Liki "Maerese" Selabe of Matiseng fame.

Ditshwene Dance troupe are currently undertaking a Mini Bus project to help the small community of Mokolodi Village. Mokolodi is deprived of privileges that many villages in the vicinity of Gaborone enjoy. Not a single home enjoys electricity and running water. The nearest public school is 9 kilometres away from the village so children have to walk 18 kilometres a day to and from school. In addition, a vehicle would provide a link to the existing transport system for all villages.
