The Mokolodi Wildlife Foundation is a not-for-profit environmental and conservation education organisation, registered under the Societies Act of Botswana as a Charitable Foundation.

The Mokolodi Wildlife Foundation seeks to conserve the ecological heritage of south-eastern Botswana through a number of conservation projects, and through educating the children of the country.



From a conservation perspective, the Reserve is designated as an area that should be conserved for future generations while at the same time offering conservation benefits to Botswana’s endemic and indigenous fauna and flora. The management and operation the Reserve includes maintaining boundary fences, supplying water, maintaining road networks as well as a number of less obvious activities, including resource management, maintaining species diversity and numbers, managing the Reserve’s carrying capacity, preventing and repairing sheet and gully erosion, addressing bush encroachment, anti-poaching activities and the like.
